Royal and Toulouse was originally formed in 2006 in Birmingham, AL as a jam session with Ricky Little on bass, Milyn Satterfield on vocals/lyrics and Alex Troughton on drums. Several other musicians sat in on this nightly jam which eventually developed into a recording project with "The Fabulous" Ray Calhoun on guitars and harmonicas. The debut album, "Skull Orchard" is an impromptu album as the band made up all the lyrics and tunes on the spot and recorded without a drummer, though Tommy Little recorded drums on the final track of the album in DC. The second album is currently being recorded at Little Town Sound Studio with the core group of Ricky, Milyn, Alex and Ray plus several studio musicians. The second album "Carnies' Southern Delight" features a horn section, Fender Rhodes player, one track with a hip hop lyricist and turn-tables as well as a second guitar player.
