About Us
Redshift Records was started in 1989, for the sake of releasing an album and single for a band called redshift.
It has been my dream to start a record company that was purely about the Artist and not about the Record Company. It gives those people who write the tracks a chance to make a little bit of money for their work and not have most of the profits go to talentless suits.
This site is here so that artists/songwriters can get their music on the internet and hopefully make themselves some money. All songs downloadable cost 45p. 20p of that will go directly back to the artist, 5p will go toward the running of this site.The other 20p is deducted by paypal for the use of their facility. Though this becomes less if more than 1 song is downloaded, in which case, apart from 5p to redshift records the balance goes directly to the artist.

Redshift records reserves the right to decline material that it does not feel is suitable for this site.
Reshift Records does not guarantee success for all.
I would like to suggest that all songwriters contact MCPS and PRS to register all their music so that they can recieve royalties for any air play or live play of their songs in the future.
